In the nineties, in the eastern region of Hungary, various festivities and occasions were widely used by women to wear costumes. These events could include weddings, local balls, festivities, community meetings, village days, and sometimes Sunday Masses. What they had in common was that local women usually appeared in some colorful costumes. In the pictures below, I would like to show few of my mother’s 90’s dresses / costumes that she wore most of the time at these events.
My mom wore this dress mostly for official events.
